Our bodies perpetually occupy the built environment. My work attempts to counter that interaction allowing the visual language found within these constructed spaces an opportunity to inhabit the body and coexist intimately. I examine and challenge architectural organization and its materials in an attempt to redefine and elevate their essence through an investigative process. In-between moments of submission and disobedience materials reveal beauty and ornament authentically within the format of jewelry. As artifact my work captures a moment between material, time and place that purposefully interacts with human form.
